Question:-

Find the mass of 555 cm³ of iron in kg when density of iron is 7.6 g/cm³.

Solution:-

We hace to find mass of iron.

V = 555 cm³

D = 7.6 g/cm³

where V = volume of iron

and D = density of iron

We know that, D = M/V

Thus, M = D × V

 = 7.6 \frac{g}{cm {}^{3} }  \times 555 \: cm {}^{3}  \\  \\  = 4218 \: g \\  \\  =    \frac{4218}{1000}  \\  \\  = 4.218 \: kg

Thus, mass of iron in kg = 4.218 kg.
