Find the mass of alcohol that should be added to 350 ml of water to get percentage by mass of alcohol equal to 30​

Answer:

By c1 × v1 = c2 × v2 formula

C1 = concentration of give solution i.e 95

V2 = how many solution is taken from above. Given solution ?

C2 = concentration of stock whiche we have to prepare i.e 30

V2 = volume of solutions which we have to prepare i.e 100 ml

therefore

C1 × v1 = c2 × v2

95 × x = 30 × 100

X = 30×100 ÷ 95

X = 3000 ÷ 95

X = 31.57 ml

To prepar 100 ml of 30 % subtract 31.57 from 100

100 - 31.57

68.43

So , take 31.57 ml from 95 % ethenol and make up volume 100 ml by adding 68.43 D/w to make 30% of 100ml ethanol
