Given:

Density = 0.5g/cm³

Area = 2cm²

To find:

Mass of an object

Solution:

Formula used for finding density is-

{{\text{Density}}}}} = \left {\frac{{Mass}}{{Volume}}} \right

Area of a square, A= side×side

                             side = √2 cm

we know that,

Volume = length × breadth × height

Since, it is square so all sides are equal therefore, volume will be,

Volume = √2 × √2 × √2

Volume = 2.827cm³

Now mass will be calculated as ,

Mass = Density × Volume

 Mass = 0.5 g/cm³ × 2.827cm³

Mass =  1.41g

Therefore, Mass of an object is found to be 1.41g.
