Given :

➛ Percentage error in measurement of length of cube = 3%

➛ Percentage error in measurement of mass of cube = 4%

To Find :

➠ Maximum percentage error in measurement of density of cube.

SoluTion :

➳ Density is defined as the mass of substance per unit volume.

Density = mass / volume

፨ Volume of a cube is given by

  • V = l³

where, l denotes length of side

Percentage error in density :

⇒ %(Δd/d) = %(Δm/m) + 3[%(Δl/l)]

⇒ %(Δd/d) = 4% + 3(3%)

⇒ %(Δd/d) = 4% + 9%

%(Δd/d) = 13%

Maximum percentage error in measurement of density = 13%
