Total number of pens = 1001.

Total number pencils = 910.

Maximum number of students among which it can be distributed will be equal to HCF of number of pencils and number of pens.

So HCF of 1001 and 910 -:

Prime factors of the numbers are -

1001 = 7 × 11 × 13

910 = 2 × 5 × 7 × 13

∴ HCF = 7 × 13 = 91.

Hence, 91 students receive same number of pens and pencils.

Hope it helps!
