Median- Median is the middle term in a data.

To find median:

First arrange the data in ascending order-

6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19

If the number of total terms is even then we use the formula=

  \rm \frac{1}{2} [ (\frac{n}{ {2}})^{th} \: term + (n + \frac{1}{2} {)}^{th } \: term ]

Where n= number of total terms

So here, in given data, n= 10(even)

So we are going to use the above given formula to find the median.

  \rm \frac{1}{2} {\huge{[}}( \frac{10}{2} {)}^{th} \: term + (\frac{10 + 1}{2} {)}^{th} \: term \huge] \\ \\ \rm\implies \frac{1}{2} ( {5}^{th} \: term + {6}^{th} \: term) \\ \\ \rm \implies \frac{1}{2} (11 + 12) = \frac{23}{2} = 17.5

So median=17.5

A simple way to solve when number of terms is even:

Just simply take two middle terms and divide it by 2. The answer will be same.
