                                  = 12 X + 24

Number of observations = 6

Mean = ( 12 X + 24 ) / 6

         = ( 6 x 2X + 6 x 4) / 6     Taking 6 common from numerator

         = 6 ( 2X + 4 ) /  6

         = 2X + 4
