(i) 5,15,20,8 and 12.

1) Mean = 12 Median = 12

2) Mean = 45.875 Median = 48

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Mean = 5+15+20+8+12 ÷ 5

= 60 ÷ 5

= 12

Median = 5, 8, 12, 15, 20 ( Orderwise)

= 12 comes in the middle

2) Mean = 34+47+41+52+53+56+35+49 ÷ 8

= 367 ÷ 8

= 45.875

Median = 34, 35, 41, 47, 49, 52, 53, 56 ( Order wise)

= 48 as 48 comes in between 47 and 49 we do this method when addition of numbers are even.
