GIVEN,

A=200 where a=assumed mean

fi = 45 ,where fi = frequency

h= 10 where h= width of class interval

Efi.ui = -212 ,where E= SIGMA,fi= frequency,ui = step deviation= xi-a/h

BY STEP DEVIATION METHOD:

MEAN (X) = a+ Efi.ui / Efi × h

200+ (-212)/45×10

= 152.8
