ANSWER

Given that

the observations are

46,64,87,41,58,77,35,90,55,92,33

No. of observations(n)=11

Arrange the data in ascending order

33,35,41,46,55,58,64,77,87,90,92

Here observe that no. of observations are odd i.e., n=11

So median is 2n+1th term

Median=2n+1th term=211+1th term

                                        =6th term

                                        =58

∴ Median=58

and

if 92 is replaced by 99

and 41 by 43 then

new data observation are

33,35,43,46,55,58,64,77,87,90,99 ........(1)

Here observe that no. of observations are odd i.e, n=1

so new median is 2n+1th term

=2n+1th term=211+1th term

                            =2

hope it will help
