  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

           Given data:- 12,16,20,24,28.

           To find:- Value of mean.

           Solution:-

  • We know that mean is an arithmetic average of all numbers.

           =>12,16,20,24,28.

          mean =\frac{\text { Sum of all number }}{\text { Total number of observation }}$

           Therefore

            $$\begin{array}{l}\text { mean }=\frac{12+16+20+24+28}{5} \\\text { mean }=\frac{100}{5} \\\text { mean }=20 .\end{array}$$

       Hence we will get the mean is 20.
