To find mean, add all the numbers together, and divide by the amount of numbers there is.

(22 + 30 + 38 + 40 + 45 + 45 + 46 + 46 + 48 + 49) = 409

The total is 409, and there are 10 numbers.

Divide 409 with 10

409/10 = 40.9

40.9 is your answer

hope this helps

Hi ,

Observations are : 22 , 30 , 38 , 40 , 45 , 45 , 46 , 46 , 48 , 49.

Mean = Sum of observations/ Number of observations.

=> ( 22 + 30 + 38 + 40 + 45 + 45 + 46 + 46 + 48 + 49 ) / 10

=> 409/10

=> 40.9
