Answer :-

  • The mean of the following numbers is 37.

Given :-

  • The numbers are 26, 25, 40, 36, 50 and 45.

To find :-

  • Their mean.

Step-by-step explanation :-

  • In this question, some numbers have been given to us and we have to find their mean. Let's do it!!

 \underline{\bf Calculations :-}

We know that :-

 \underline{\boxed{\sf Mean =  \dfrac{Sum \:  of \:  all  \: observations}{Number \:  of  \: observations}}}

Here,

  • Sum of observations = 26 + 25 + 40 + 36 + 50 + 45.

  • Number of observations = 6.

Hence,

 \tt Mean =  \dfrac{26 + 25 + 40 + 36 + 50 + 45}{6}

 \tt Mean =  \dfrac{222}{6}

 \boxed{\tt Mean = 37.}

-----------------------------------------------------------

  • Hence, the mean is 37.
