Before solving any question like this first you have to know what is the specific word on which the question is created. In this question the specific word is MEAN

WHAT IS MEAN :- The mean is the average of the numbers. It is easy to calculate: add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are. In other words, it is the sum divided by the count.

Now as you have understood what is mean

Let us solve the question together

The Mean of :- 5 , 1 , 0 , 4 , 6 , 3 is

5+1+0+4+6+3÷5

Now as you saw in above equation we have divided those number by 5

why did we do so because the formula of mean is

the number ÷ number of times the number is

as the number occured 5 times we divided it by 5

So, The answer for 5+1+0+4+6+3÷5 is

(i) First find the value of 5+1+0+4+6+3 = 19

(ii)The value which you found divide that by the  number of times the number = 19/5

You may think why 5 why not 4 or 6

5 because 5+1+0+4+6+3 are 5 times

So the value of 19/5 = 3.8

∴the mean of 5 , 1 , 0 , 4 , 6 , 3 is 3.8
