  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

            Given data:- -5,3,2,4.

            To find:- Value of mean.

            Solution:-

  • We know that mean is an arithmetic average of all numbers.
  • The formula for mean is

mean =\frac{\text { Sum of all number }}{\text { Total number of observation }}$

          Therefore, we get,

           $$\begin{array}{l}\text { mean }=\frac{(-5)+3+2+4}{4} \\\text { mean }=\frac{4}{4} \\\text { mean }=1 .\end{array}$$

Hence we will get mean of -5,3,2,4 is 1.
