Mean of first 10 natural no = sum of first 10 natural no/10

Mean = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5+ 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 /10

= 55/10

Mean = 5.5

Mean is nothing but the average .

We know,

   Average = Sum of Observations / No. of observations

∴  Sum of first 10 natural numbers = 55

and, No. of 1st 10 natural numbers = 10

According to the formula,

⇒55/10 = 5.5

∴ The mean of 1st 10 natural numbers is 5.5
