GIVEN,

1st OBSERVATION=x+2

2nd OBSERVATION=x

3rd OBSERVATION=x-3

NOW APPLY THE ABOVE FORMULA

MEAN=x+2+x+x-3

MEAN=3x-1

THEREFORE MEAN OF THE GIVEN OBSERVATIONS=3x-1
