  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

            Given data:- 20,30,50,60,40.

            To find:- Value of mean.

            Solution:-

  • We know that mean is an arithmetic average of all numbers.
  • The  formula of a mean is

mean =\frac{\text { Sum of all number }}{\text { Total number of observation }}$

         Therefore we get,

          $$\begin{array}{l}\text { mean }=\frac{20+30+50+60+40}{5} \\\text { mean }=\frac{200}{5} \\\text { mean }=40.\end{array}$$

Hence  we will get mean value is 40.
