Answer:

25^2= 15^2 + ac^2

ac^2 = 25^2 - 15^2

ac^2 = 625-225

ac^2 = 400

ac = 20

ab^2 = 36^2 + 20^2

ab^2 = 1296 + 400

ab^2 = 1696

ab = 41.18 (approx)

given:ABC is a triangle AD perpendicular to BC

BD=21cm

CD=15cm

BC=BD+CD=21+15=36cm

by the Pythagoras theorem

in ADC triangle

AD square =AC square+CD square

25×25=AC square+15×15

625=AC square+225

625-225=AC square

400=AC square

root 400=AC

20=AC

by the Pythagoras theorem

in ABC triangle

AB square=BC square +AC square

AB square=36 square+20square

AB square=1296+400

AB square=1696

AB= root 1696

AB =41.18c.m
