Find the measure of an angle if four times of its complement is 10 less than the twice of its supplement.

Solution:
-------------

let the required angle be 'x'

complementary angle add up to 90°. so then

complement of x = 90° - x

supplementary angle add up to 180° , so then

supplement of x = 180° - x

according to question,

4(90 - x) = 2( 180 - x) - 10

4(90 - x) + 10 = 2 (180 - x )

360 - 4x + 10 = 360 - 2x

2x = 10 => x = 5°

Answer:
--------------

measure of required angle = 5°
