The measure of the angle is 40°

Explanation: When two angles' measurements add up to 90 degrees, they are said to be complimentary. When two angles' measures sum up to 180 degrees, they are said to be supplementary.

Let the angle be x

Its complement will be  and its supplement will be (180°-x)

Given eight times its complement is 20° less than three times its supplement

\therefore 8(90\°-x)=3(180\°-x)-20\°\\\Rightarrow 720\°-8x=540\°-3x-20\°\\\Rightarrow 720\°-8x=520\°-3x\\\Rightarrow 200\°=5x\\\therefore x=40\°
