Question -:

Find the measure of an angle if it is 14° less than three times its complement.

Answer -:

Let the angle be x

Then its complement = (90 - x).

According to the question,

x = 3 (90 - x) - 14

x = 270 - 3x - 14

x = 256 - 3x

4x = 256

x =  \frac{256}{4}

x = 64°.

Hope it helps! :)
