In Figure 1:

z = 180° - 70° = 110° ( Linear Pair )

z = x = 110° ( Corresponding Angles )

y = z = 110° ( Alternate Interior Angles )

In Figure 2:

a = 110° ( Corresponding Angles )

c = 180° - 110° = 70° ( Linear Pair )

b = c = 70° ( Corresponding Angles )

In Figure 3:

z = 180° - 50° = 130° ( Linear Pair )

x = 180° - 85° = 95° ( Linear Pair ) ( Angle Sum Property )

y = 180° - 45° = 135° ( Linear Pair ) ( Angle Sum Property )
