then all you have to do is cancel the first value of the set with the last one and so on like this:

7,7,12,14

then continue:

7,12

you will end up with two numbers 7 and 12, you will then divide the sum of these numbers by 2 as shown below:

\frac{7+12}{2} =9.5

So 9.5 is your median value.

NOTE: If there was only one number left out after canceling numbers from both sides then that number is the median.
