SOLUTION :-

Median :-

After Arranging a Given Data in an Ascending/Descending Order of Magnitude, The Value of the Middle-Most Observation(s) is called the Median of the Data.

Let the Total Number of Observations be n.

  • if n is Odd, then Median = Value\:of\:(\frac{n + 1}{2})th\:Observation
  • if n is Even, then Median = Mean\:of\:(\frac{n}{2})th\:and\:(\frac{n}{2} + 1)th\:Observations

Here,

Arranging the Given Observation in an Ascending Order, we have -

0, 10, 20, 25, 35, 40...

Here, n = 6, which is Even.

Median = Average of (\frac{6}{2} )th and (\frac{6}{2} + 1)th terms,

= Average of 3rd and 4th Terms

= \bold {\frac{1}{2} (20 + 25)} = \frac{45}{2} = \bold {22.5}

Hence, the Median of this Given Observation is 22.5
