Solution :-

Arranging the data in ascending order we get :- 12, 14, 15, 15, 17, 17, 17, 18, 19, 19, 19, 20, 21, 21 = Total terms = n = 14

So,

→ Median = [(n/2) th term + {(n/2) + 1} th term] / 2

→ Median = [(14/2) th term + (14/2 + 1) th term]/2

→ Median = (7th term + 8th term)/2

→ Median = (17 + 18)/2

→ Median = (35/2)

→ Median = 17.5 (Ans.)

Hence, median of given data is equal to 17.5 .

Now,

→ Mode of data = Data which appears most number of times = 17 and 19 = Both appears 3 times .

Therefore, Mode of data is 17 and 19 .
