First arrange the observations in either increasing or decreasing order
9 , 10 , 17 , 19 , 21 , 22 ,32 , 35
Here there are 8 terms ( 8 is even)
So median = mean of ( 8/2 , 8/2+1 terms )
= Mean of ( 4 , 5 terms)
= 19 + 21 / 2
= 40/2 .
= 20 .
Therefore, Median is 20
9 , 10 , 17 , 19 , 21 , 22 ,32 , 35

Hello..
First of all arrange this data in ascending order...
9 , 10 , 17 , 19 , 21 , 22 , 32 , 35
Total nos. are 8
hence, n = 8
n = even
Median = (8/2, 8/2+1)
(8/2 = 4 , 8/2 = 4 + 1 = 5)
4th term is 19
5th term is 21
19 + 21/2
40/2
20
