SOLUTION:-

Given:

17, 18, 25, 2, 13, 6, 35

To find:

The median.

Explanation:

Median: The median is a simple measure of central tendency.

Formula of the median:

(1). If the number of terms n are odd, then

 Median =  \frac{n + 1}{2} th \: term

(2).If the number of terms are even, then

 Median =  \frac{ \frac{n}{2} th \: term + ( \frac{n}{2} + 1)th \: term }{2}

Now,

Arrange in ascending order of the given above number:

2, 6, 13, 17,18,25,35

Adding total number,(n)= 7

Using the formula of odd term:

 Median = ( \frac{n  +  1}{2} )th \: term \\  \\ Median = ( \frac{7 + 1}{2} )th \: term \\  \\ Median = ( \frac{8}{2} )th \: term \\  \\ Median = 4th \: term

So,

Median is 17.
