For finding the midian first we have to arrange the above observation in asscending order.

17,23,28,29,30,33,34,46,57

Here number of observations is 9.

m  =   \frac{n + 1}{2}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:     \frac{9 + 1}{2}  \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \frac{10}{2 \: }  \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   =  \:  \:  \:  \: 5

5 th observation.

Answer is 30.
