median = Middle most observation.

we want to write the number in ascending order.

so,

10,30,40,60

Here they are even number so we can take 2 numbers from middle then find it's mean.

So,

\frac{30+40}{2}

So,

\frac{70}{2}

35 is the mean of 10,30,40,60.
