Solution :

Given Data :

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀• 45 , 67 , 89 , 23 , 56 , 78 , 99 ,100

Arranging the given data in ascending order.

: 23 , 45 ,56 ,67 , 78 , 89 ,99 ,100

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀• Number of observations = 8

no of observation is 8 which is even Then,

Formula used = [(n/2)th term + (n/2 + 1)th]/2 term

where

  • n = number of terms

›› Median = [(8/2)th term + (8/2 + 1)th term]/2

›› Median = [4th term + 5th term]/2

  • 4th term = 67
  • 5th term = 78

›› Median = (67 + 78)/2

›› Median = (145)/2

›› Median = 72.5

Hence

  • Median of data is 72.5
