Answer :

To find the median,
Firstly, we will arrange the given data in ascending order.

=> 25 < 28 < 35 < 36 < 36 < 50 < 914

Total no. of terms (n) = 7 i.e. odd

Therefore

median \:  =  \: ( \frac{n + 1}{2} )th \: term \\  \\ n = 7 \\  \\ median \:  = ( \frac{7 + 1}{2} )th \: term \\  \\ median =  \frac{8}{2}  = 4th \:  \: term \\  \\ 4th \:  \: term \:  = 36 \\  \\ therefore \: 36 \: is \: the \: median

Your Answer

Arrange them in a ascending order 1st

25,28,35,36,36,50,914.

Total terms = 7 (odd number)

Formula to find median if odd number

=> n+1/2 th term

Using this formula .

n=7

7+1/2

8/2

4

4th term = 36 [Ans.]

25,28,35,\boxed{36},36,50,914
