NUMBERS IN ASCENDING ORDER

→ 5, 6, 8, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17

MEDIAN IN CASE OF EVEN NUMBERS

\frac{n+ next number to n}{2}

= \frac{8 + 11 = 19}{2}

= 9.5

Hey,

Question :-

Find the median of the given data

12, 8, 6, 17, 11, 5, 13 and 8

Solution :-

12, 8, 6, 17, 11, 5, 13, 8

5, 6, 8, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17

Median :- 8 and 11

Further Information :-

1. Mean is the sum of all the values which is divided by number of values.

2. Formula of mean = sum of data/number of data

3. Median is the middle value of the data after arranging in ascending order.

4. Example of mean :- a, b, c, d, e, here c is the mean as it is the middle value of the data.

5. Range is the difference of highest and lowest value.

6. Example of range = b - a = c

7. The maximum number of time a number is repeating in the data is called mode.

8. Example :- a is occurring 2 times and b is occurring 3 times, so b is the mode.

Hope That Helps :)
