The first 10 natural numbers, as we all know, are

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10

Even number of numbers so the median

= {(10/2)th number + (10/2 + 1) th number} / 2

= (5th number + 6th number) / 2

= (5+6) / 2

= 11 / 2

= 5.5
