Given,

2,5,9,3,4,5

Arranging the above data in ascending order, we get,

→→ 2,3,4,5,5,9

Here,

  • Number of observations = 6

So,

 \small \text{Median = }  \frac{\rm{\bigg(\frac{n}{2}\bigg)^{th} observations +\bigg\{ \bigg(\frac{n}{2}\bigg) + 1 \bigg\}^{th} observations}}{2}  \\  \\  \tt \to    \frac{{\bigg( \frac{6}{2} \bigg)}^{th}  +  \bigg(\frac{6}{2}  + 1\bigg)^{th}}{2}    \\  \\  \tt \to  \frac{ {3}^{rd}  \: observation +  {4}^{th}  \:observations }{2}  \\  \\  \to  \large \sf \frac{4 + 5}{2}  \\  \\  \to  \large \sf \frac{9}{2}   \:  \: = \red{ 4.5}

Hence,

  • Median is 4.5
