Answer:

total number (n) =7

Formula of median=n+1/2

 \mathtt{ \purple{ \huge{ \fbox{ \: Solution : \:  \: }}}}

On arranging the given data in ascending order , we get

-5 , -4 , 0 , 1 , 3 , 5 , 6

Hence , the number of observation is 7 , which is odd

Therefore ,

 \sf \large \fbox{Median = value \: of \:  (\frac{n + 1}{2} )th \: term} \\  \\  \sf \to Median = value \: of \:  (\frac{7 + 1}{2} )th \: term \\  \\  \to \sf Median = value \: of \:  (\frac{8}{2} )th \: term \\  \\ \to \sf Median =  value \: of \: 4th \: term \\  \\ \to  \sf Median = 1

Hence , the median is 1
