Hi there!

_______________________

Median of ungrouped data :

After arranging the given data in an ascending or descending order of magnitude the value of the middle most observation, is called the median of data.

Solution :

15, 6, 16, 8, 22, 21, 9, 18, 27

Arranging the data in ascending order, we have :

6, 8, 9, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22, 27.

Here, n = 9, which is odd.

∴ Median = Value of \mathsf{( \frac{n + 1}{2} )th} term.

\mathsf{( \frac{9 + 1}{2} )th} term.

\mathsf{( \frac{10}{2} )th} term.

⇒ value of 5th term.

Hence, the median of the data is 16.
