MEDIAN - The median is the value which is strictly in the middle of the list of the observations when written in ascending or descending order.

SO , TO SUM UP -

Arrange the data in ascending or descending order.

If the number of observations is even , then median is the mean or average of two middle most observations.

If the number of observations is odd , then median is the middle most observation.

So , first arrange the data -

Ascending order - 4 , 7 , 9 , 10 , 18 , 20 , 47 , 99

As ,the number of observations is even , so the median = Sum of two middle most observations/2

= 10+18/2

= 28/2

= 14

So , median = 14

THANK YOU :)
