Hey Mate,

Given Data,

18, 37, 24, 59, 41, 63, 45, 57, 29

Arranging the given data in Ascending order, we get:-

18, 24, 29, 37, 41, 45, 57, 59, 63

Now, since n = 9 which is odd ( Where n = Number of Observations )

The formula for finding the median is:-

(( n + 1 ) / 2 ) th term

(( 9 + 1 ) / 2 ) th term

( 10 / 2 ) th term

5th term

Now, we see that the 5th term in the given observations is 41.

So, 41 is the median.

Now, if 37 is replaced by 73, then the new set of observations in ascending order will be:-

18, 24, 29, 41, 45, 57, 59, 63, 73

Since, now too n = 9.

The median will be the 5th term.

In this case we see that the 5th term in the given observations is 45.

Therefore, 45 is the median.

Hope it Helps!
