Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data arranging in ascending order = 2,2,3,5,6,8

n = 6 (even number)

The formula of median when even number

(\frac{n}{2})^{th} \: and \:( \frac{n+2}{2})^{th} \: term

= (6/2) and (6+2)/2

= 3 and 8/2

= 3 and 4 th terms

3rd term = 3

4 th term = 5

Median = (3 + 5)/2

= 8/2

= 4

∴ the median is 4

Answer:

2,2,3,5,6,8

n = 6 (no.of observation)

1/2.{ (n/2)th observation + (n/2 + 1)th observation }

1/2{ (6/2)th observation + (6/2+1) observation}

1/2( 3rd term + 4th term )

1/2 (3+5)

1/2 x 8

= 4

OR

5+3/2 = 4
