Given,

The numbers

20,14,6,25,18,13,19,10,9,12

To Find,

The median of the given numbers.

Solution,

First,

write the numbers in ascending order.

6,9,10,12,13,14,18,19,20,25

Meidan =

\frac{1}{2}(n+1)^{th} term's value for odd number n.

Median =

\frac{value of y^{th}term +value of y+1^{th}term}{2}, for even number n.

n is the number of elements present.

Here,n = 10, even number.

Therefore,

Median = \frac{V(y)+V(y+1)}{2}

y =\frac{n}{2}

\frac{10}{2} = 5

5^{th} term's value = 13

5+1^{th} term's value =14

Median = \frac{13+14}{2}

= \frac{27}{2}

= 13.5.

The median of the given numbers is 13.5
