After they are arranged just pick the middle value. If there are two middle values then the sum of them divided by 2 will be the medium.

27,39,49,20,21,28,38 median will be 28.

10,19,54,80,15,16 median will be 17.5

Hence, the median will be 28 and17.5 respectively.
