Total number of observation, n = 12(even)

The given observations can be arranged in ascending orders as 2, 7, 9, 13, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 35, 40.

When number of observation, n is even, then

Median = Mean of and observations.

∴ Median = Mean of and observations

⇒ Median = Mean of 6th and 7th observations

6th observation = 22 and 7th observation = 24

∴ Median = Mean of 22 and 24

Thus, the median of the given observations is 23.

Hey mate here is your answer ⬇️ ⬇️

How to Calculate the Median

⏺️ Arrange your numbers in numerical order.

⏺️ Count how many numbers you have.

⏺️ If you have an odd number, divide by 2 and round up to get the position of the median number.

⏺️ If you have an even number, divide by 2.

2,3,4,4,7

There are 5 numbers.

So, it is odd.

5/2 = 2.5 = 3 is the median.
