Step-by-step explanation:

Note: If we have two points A(x1,y1) & B(x2,y2) and let O(x,y) be the midpoint of the line joining AB , then the coordinates of O is given by;

x = (x1+x2)/2

y = (y1+y2)/2

Here, the coordinates of the end points are (3,-4) and (-5,4).

Let,

x1 = 3

y1 = -4

x2 = -5

y2 = 4

Thus, the mid point of the of the line segment will be ;

x = {3+(-5)}/2

x = {3-5}/2

x = -2/2

x = -1

y = {-4+4}/2

y = 0/2

y = 0

Hence, the required coordinates of the mid point is (-1,0).
