Solution

» Given :-

Two points ( 1 , 4) and ( 9, 12)

» To find :-

Midpoint of the line where these points are the pairs.

Formula

 \longrightarrow \: midpoint = ( \frac{x1 +  x₂}{2} ; \:  \frac{y1 + y₂}{2} )

Where here ,

x 1 = 1

x₂ = 9

y1 = 4

y₂ = 12

By substituting the values we get ,

midpoint = ( \frac{1 + 9}{2} ; \frac{4 + 12}{2} )

 = ( \frac{10}{2} ; \frac{16}{2} )

 = (5;8)

 \therefore \: midpoint \:  = (5;8)
