Volume of cone = 1/3(pi×r^2×h)

3.6= 1/3(3.14×r^2×4.2)

10.8=13.18 × r^2

r^2=0.81

r=0.9

Hope it helps :)

Given:

Volume of cone= 3.6 in ³

Height of cone = 4.2 in

To Find:

Find the missing dimension of the cone.

Round the answer to the nearest tenth.

Solution:

As we know that the volume of the cone = 1/3πr²h

Here we have the volume and the height (h) given

So, the missing dimension is radius (r)

We will find the radius by comparing

The volume of the cone = 1/3πr²h

3.6 = (1/3) × π ×r² ×4.2

3.6 = (1/3)×22/7×r²×4.2

3.6/4.2 =(1/3)×22/7×r²

(6/7)×3 = 22/7×r²

18/22 = r²

0.81 = r²

r = √0.81

r = 0.9

Hence, the missing dimension of the cone is its radius which is 0.9
