The given question is we have to find the missing number in the given series.

The series is 15,_, 30,45

The first term of the series is 15.

The first, third and fourth terms are given.

we have to find the second term.

let us find the second term by adding 5 to the first term , we get the value 20.

15+5=20

based on the second term, the third term is calculated as

\begin{gathered} Third \:term \\= 20 + 2\times \blue { 5 } \\=20 + 10 \\= \blue{ 30 } \end{gathered}

and again using the third term the fourth term is calculated as

\begin{gathered} Fourth\:term \\= 30 + 3\times \blue { 5 } \\=30 + 15 \\= \blue{ 45 } \end{gathered}

The common ratio is found to be the multiple of 5 , the difference between the consecutive terms varies as the multiple of 5 which was 5,10,15

By using the second term as 20 other options are also verified , therefore,the correct answer is 20
