Given:

  • A series is given

          12, 10, 8, 7 = 34

          32, 23, 9, 7 = 13

To Find:

  • Missing number of the series

          34, 43, 10, 9, ?

Solution:

Let's take

         12, 10, 8, 7 = 34

1. First multiply the last two digits of the series

             8 × 7 = 56

2. Now, subtraction of starting two digits,

             12 - 10 = 2

3. Now, divide 56 by 2

             56 ÷ 2 = 28

4. Add 6 in the result we get from step 3

             28 + 6 = 34 = resultant

By using above pattern we can solve other series

   ⇒     32, 23, 9, 7 = 13

  1.           (9×7) = 63
  2.          (32-23)=9
  3.           63 ÷ 9 =7

Now,   7 + 6 = 13 = resultant

Thus,

⇒  34, 43, 10, 9, ?

  1. (10× 9) = 90
  2. (43 - 34 = 9
  3. 90 ÷ 9 = 10

Now,

       10 + 6 = 16

So, the missing number is 16
