Equivalent Fraction ⇒ Fractions that are having different numerator and denominator and have the same value of the whole are known as equivalent fractions.

Example ⇒ \frac{1}{2} =\frac{2}{4}

According to this, we have to find the equivalent fraction for the following.

(i)

\frac{3}{8} = \frac{36}{x}

So here,

\frac{36}{3} = 12

Now we have to multiply 12 to 8 also.

\frac{3}{8} = \frac{36}{96}

∴ x = 96

(ii)

\frac{24}{32} = \frac{x}{4}

So here,

\frac{32}{4} =8

Now here we have to divide 8 to 24 also.

\frac{24}{32} = \frac{3}{4}

∴ x = 3
