Find the missing numbers in the following: if _____, 13, _____, 3 are in AP. explain it ​

Answer:

You are given with 2nd term and 4th term in series.

2nd term = a + d = 13 and

4th term = a + 3d = 3

bu solving the two equarions,

we get, d = -5

then by substituting d in any equation we get,

a = 18.

hence the missing terms are 1st term = a = 18

and 3rd term = a + 2d = 18+(-10) = 8.
